The 80's baby

My favorite 80's movies include the following:
Baby Boom
Private Benjamin
Girls Just Want to Have Fun
My Best Friend is a Vampire
Mannequin (the original)
She's Out of Control
Dirty Dancing
She's Having a Baby
Overboard
When Harry Met Sally
Back to the Future
Pretty in Pink
Steel Magnolias
Money Pit
Hello Again
Troop Beverly Hills
She Devil
Grease
The Breakfast Club
Sixteen Candles
The Goonies
The Lost Boys
Stand By Me
Parenthood
Gremlins
Say Anything
Adventures in Babysitting
Labyrinth
Mermaids
Edward Scissorhands
Beetlejuice
Tootsie
National Lampoon's Vacation movies
Batteries Not Included
Cocoon
The Abyss

Wow...my list is actually pretty long (and I'll likely think of ten others upon posting this blog). Growing up in the country we lived in an area that did not receive cable (translation: we had four basic channels). Due to a lack of variety (and likely my mom's attempt at maintaining her own sanity whenever the weather was bad outside) we often rented movies. As a result, I grew up on a steady diet of 80's flicks...I've come to realize they just don't make movies like they used too.

I did think of more:
9 to 5
Teen Wolf
Can't Buy Me Love
E.T.
Cocktail
The Graduate
Top Gun
Inner Space
Revenge of the Nerds
Animal House
Footloose
Three Men and a Baby
Short Circuit
Big
Beaches
Big Business
