A Time Capsule of sorts...

On average, the cost of gasoline has been $1.89 (though it's currently at the high end at around $2.22). Last summer, gas reached an all time high at nearly $4.00 a gallon. Kelly Clarkson's hit single "I Don't Hook Up" was number one on the VH1 music/video pop countdown. North Korea illegally tested it's second nuclear weapon on Memorial Day 2009 (to the world's dismay). A gallon of milk currently cost (on average) $2.50.The cost to go to the movies is $7.25 per a ticket. A pack of cigarettes (thank God I no longer smoke) recently went up to nearly $4.50 a pack. A postage stamp cost 42 cents.A bottled coke (at the vending machine) cost $1.75. "Night at the Museum" II was #1 at the box office this weekend. Mine That Bird won the KY Derby.
