Caleb was incredulous upon learning such things as “Drag Queen” shows exist (which consequently I actually enjoy attending upon occasion). Caleb has a general understanding of gender roles, different orientations, etc. (age appropriately of course). It is my sincere hope I have instilled in him the fact each person deserves the right to live and love how he or she wants to. With that said, Caleb then made the following statements:
Caleb: “I sure hope those guys get paid a lot-they deserve it!”
Me: (Laughing) “Why would you say that?”
Caleb: “Because it must be so terrible for them to have to dress up as girls and wear makeup and high heels-that’s a lot of hard work”.

Life as I Know it....
Never before in my life have three months gone by so quickly. Primarily this has to do with my new job and the fact I am currently doing a job two full-time people and one part-time person previously did (granted this began when I had only been at my new job for three weeks time-total “Baptism by fire” baby). With that said, I adore my job and simply cannot wait for my new coworker to start at the end of this month.
Secondly, I have been going through a divorce which consequently should finalize next week…great timing- start a new job then decide to get a divorce simultaneously….thankfully I am great at organization and multi-tasking so it’s been difficult but manageable.
Third, I have recently met my birth father and tentatively begun a relationship with him. This in of itself was unplanned, unexpected and thus far, going well.
Fourth, I am head over heels crazy about a guy I first met nearly two years ago (consequently it was innocent and we became great friends at that time). Fast forward to present day and I cannot imagine my life without him. It is without reason or practicality but I simply love him and he loves me back. Fools may rush in but I choose love and any and all consequences it entails.

Updates-Random
1. Randomly met and connected with birth father over derby weekend resulting in connecting with my two younger half brothers...
2. Had a falling out with my adoptive father which had nothing to do with number 1.
3. Discovered divorce will be finalized no later than next Tuesday.
4. Yet have never been more in love...now I get what all all of the great poets were talking about- took more than 30 years but better late than never.
5. Still shocked Bin Laden is dead.
6. Cannot wait until May 31st when my new coworker starts.
7. Wishing Lola loved her dog house-alas, it's a work in progress.
8. Finally broke down and got several tattoos I've been wanting.
9. May be moving in July-translation-July will be a crazy month.
10. Have missed blogging desperately but have had no time given professional and personal recent events.
