I'm learning...life goes by fast, taking risks is essential, no one is perfect, and in the end it's completely worth it.

Waiting on the World...
I consider myself to be....well to be perfectly honest-a downright liberal Democrat (in case you did not already know ^-^). With that said, I fully believe in each person's right to voice their own opinion, etc. even if it violently conflicts with my own. I must however admit I was a bit sickened today upon coming across a bumper sticker which stated, "Abortion is the number one reason for missing children". While I do not condemn nor condone the act, that's a pretty bold statement and it made me feel quite ill. Again, by living in America, each person (thankfully) has the choice/right of freedom of speech, etc. Once again, I do not condone the act but I do however take issue with those who pass judgment on others...after all, the person standing on the outside looking in never knows what the circumstances are, etc. Tolerance, not necessarily agreement, is key to world and inner peace.
Lola
Dear Lola-
I miss you greatly. While I do not miss your shenanigans nor your bathroom mishaps, I do miss your sweet piggy snout and even sweeter snuggling. I know you are happy living at the farm (especially given you have two additional sweet piggies to spend your days with). Regardless, we still love and miss you and hope to visit you soon. Mommy loves you sweetness,
Always,
Mommy

Gala's and such...
I am neither shy nor skittish, however, walking into tonight’s event solo is a bit nerve racking. Don’t get me wrong- I can pull it off, (AKA)fake confidence, and am easily able to make friends with complete strangers (a gift I value greatly). Nonetheless it is a bit daunting when nearly everyone else you know that is going has a date and/or spouse. It’s at these particular moments that I wish I were still married- a dependable, built in date you can count on to be there. Regardless, I am looking forward to tonight and welcome any adventures it might bring about- plus at least I have my masquerade mask to hide behind ^-^

Number 1 trillion and counting…
1. My office is at subzero temperatures. I thought the heat had not yet been turned on-alas, I was informed today that I have been mistaken.
2. I adore wearing jeans to work-it’s one of the main things I miss about my former job (and I will pay money each and every time the opportunity to wear jeans at my current job is offered).
3. The next installment of “Twilight” the movie comes out this month. While movies (in my opinion) are never as good as the books, I fully intend on venturing out to the theater for this one…. V-V
4. We went to Boyd’s Orchard a couple of weekends ago…once again I must admit the experience never disappoints and I simply adore the fall season.
5. My little sister has hijacked my (very expensive) UGG boots.
6. I am living in denial that Thanksgiving is simply a mere three weeks away from today.
7. I am also in denial that my ten-year-old son is nearly as tall as me…sigh.
8. I’ve decided not to have my iPhone fixed until it completely bites the dust.
9. No one at my former job would believe that I actually dress up, put on make up, and wear jewelry everyday at my current place of employment.
10. I only like cinnamon flavored gum- all other flavors make me nauseous.
11. Maybe it’s the inner geek in me but I love a really good ink pen (and white out tape- not the liquid which I inevitably nearly always spill on my clothes).
12. Liquid white out cannot be washed out of clothes-trust me, I’ve tried.
13. My worst quality is vindictiveness- mess with me or those I love….you will see wrath.
14. My best quality is open mindedness- I am always willing to explore new thoughts and ideas.

Story of the Week
Preface: Caleb was jumping on the trampoline with an (older) male friend whenever I overheard the following conversation:
Friend: "Do you like girls?"
Caleb: "Gross".
Friend: "Oh, so you're gay- you like boys?"
Caleb: "I don't like boys or girls- I plan on dying alone."
Ummm...can I get that in writing (not that I want my child to "die alone" but I have a sneaking suspicion he will change his mind in about a year or two).

Highlight
I do not care how vain or narcissistic it sounds- the highlight of my day today arrived whenever one of my coworkers stated to me, "You look really skinny today". Vain and silly I know, but really I'll take whatever I can get.
Six Month Countdown....
I can clearly recall being inspired by a female (who later published a book about her experience) who went on many, many dates for six months. Her experience was an experiment and while it may sound extreme it should be noted she did not sleep with any of them (nor did any of them turn out to be “the one” though she did later find him post experiment). Her encounters were often humorous and at times simply disappointing and sad. While I admire her courage, I am instead going to challenge myself (gulp-am I really committing to this?) to not date for six months. I am quite simply tired of being disappointed and hurt. Instead I am going to take this opportunity and focus on myself. Let me be frank- this will not be easy (as Libra’s are notorious for being the most happy when they are in a romantic relationship). With that said, I will persevere and rise to the challenge- sorry boys, this girl is off the market for the next six months…
