Words of Wisdom to My Younger Self...

Don't worry about how others think of you. Life is short…be true to yourself. Listen to your inner voice…it's called intuition and it's usually right. Don't cling to things you know are unhealthy (this one would have saved me from years of unhappiness in my first marriage). The best revenge is living well. Don't be so egocentric-be open minded and open to new things…the world is full of interesting people and new ideas. Everything you have ever experienced in your life you chose beforehand…seize each opportunity and learn the life lesson that goes along with it. Don't rush…live in the present and enjoy each moment. Try not to grow up so fast…there's plenty of time to be an adult. Dance more often…be silly more often…laugh more often. Don't be so obsessive and analytical…don't spend a lifetime sweating the small things in life. Work hard at maintaining friendships…you will regret it if you don't. Ask for help when you need it…it's okay to let others help you. Spend more time with your child…he wont stay little forever. Express yourself more often…people can't read your mind. Question society's expectations and learn to think and speak up for yourself more. Rock the boat more often. Take more chances so you won't one day wake up with a list of regrets. You are enough- just believe it and in yourself! Do more things that make you feel uncomfortable and embarrassed…these feelings are part of the human experience. Be proud of yourself and don't be afraid to show it. Never, ever start smoking. Too much of anything is usually a bad thing. Write more often…it makes you feel better. Be more accepting of others…it takes all kinds of people
